About us
The purpose of Genealogy Klapwijk is to collect, record and transmit information about and to the history of the Klapwijk family.
Information transfer
GENEALOGY
Overview: for each family name there is an overview, of all descendants of the oldest known ancestor to date, with date of birth / baptism and, if the genealogy is divided into branches, the mention of the branch.
Genealogies: also mention the descendants of the oldest known ancestor, but now with extensive data, references, source references, copies of deeds, photographs, etc. However, in order to avoid privacy problems, the genealogy is sometimes limited to the data of the oldest known ancestor until about the end of the 19th century and further data can only be accessed under certain conditions (these conditions are indicated with each surname). Others choose to mention all genealogical data up to the present day, but without confidential matters, addresses, telephone numbers, etcetera.
Miscellaneous: heraldic data, quarter-states, geneagrams, diagrams, links, etc. In short, everything that can be important for the genealogist.
Sponsorship and donations
The Genealogy Klapwijk cannot do without additional financial support. Without this support from sponsors and donors, in whatever form, we cannot run at full capacity.
You can make your contribution through sponsorship and/or an additional donation. The name of a sponsor will be listed on our website.
A financial contribution is open to anyone interested in the history of the Klapwijk family.

Password request
The complete file of all generations to date was available only to those who were members of the Genealogical Society Klapwijk and had a password. The reasons for this were the following:
- The data has been collected by the association members. This is a very time-consuming and costly job. It is not the intention that non-members simply use this data.
- This genealogy contains all data known to us, however - in accordance with the law on the protection of privacy - no data will be mentioned that could be an invasion of privacy. However, these data are listed in the private section "Only for persons with an access code".
- Association members may request a password from the e-mail address willemklapwijk@gmail.com under the express condition that they will only use this information for their own gender and will never make it available to third parties.
