Jan Klapwijk, 10,000th Naaldwijker

On 25 February 1927 Cornelia Noordermeer gives birth to a son: Jan. The father is Arie Klapwijk, lorry driver. It's party time in Naaldwijk, the 10,000th inhabitant is born, whole The Netherlands has a right to know. The message appears in at least 11 (regional) newspapers included. The enclosed article appeared in the Twentsch Dagblad Tubantia and Enschedesche Courant, apparently taken over from the NRC. Jan died on 19 July 1991 in Naaldwijk.

Seven months earlier, on July 20, 1926, it stood father Jan also in the news with a spreading fire. The photo appeared in Forward: social democratic newspaper.
